Pacific Homeworks - Tex-Cote paint peeling
Pacific Homeworks - Tex-Cote paint peeling - Image 2
After sending samples into Tex-Cote, their lab states that the contractor did not properly prepare and prime my house, resulting in bubbling and peeling of the paint. Failure is due to the deterioration of pre-existing films showing dirt and staining, hairline cracking along with a powdery residue...

Won't stop calling

They canvased our neighborhood and I was just getting home when the sales guy approached me outside. I was busy, so I took his card and gave him my number (since we did need some work done), knowing I would research the company later. After reading reviews, when they called me about 2 HOURS later, I politely declined their services. Now I get AT LEAST one call a month from them via various phone numbers with a sales pitch. Its getting old. I have asked to be removed from their list(s), but it doesn't matter. And because its always a different number, blocking the number doesn't help.

IF YOU WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING NO MATTER HOW TRIVIAL YOU THINK IT IS. I had 2 very aggressive pressure sales people visit my house after a random dude dropped by. They pressured me and my wife into signing an agreement. We agreed (me and the wife) that the price was fair and signed. The very next day they began work on our project. Then nothing. I contacted them and they told me the price would be double because everything was not written up in the contract. I spoke with my wife and we both agreed everything was supposed to be covered. We then called to cancel the project and have received no information from the company. They have not responded to any calls, or requests for part of our deposit back.

Never ever let them in your house.

My husband and i are planning on getting some work done. We have a plan. It does not involve Pacific Homes sales. They got my phone number and they call me constantly. I block the number and they call fromm another number. They don't care if i am working, or sleeping or having dinner. I asked them to stop and they just keep calling. I would not use them if my house was on fire. STOP CALLING ME.

Cabinet doors are FALLING off and I will have to sue them for injuries! Cabinet THEY built with slide out shelves for my pots & pans broke immediately, and three times since! They shot dry wall mud on top of layers of wallpaper, then painted it (AFTER) I told them it will not stick and will bubble up, which it DID within a week! Trash can drawer sticks and will not close. Front of sink (their idea!) to store sponges & drain covers hangs open, even though I don't use it!!! It is one big EYE SORE!!!! CHEAP, VERY poor quality! Yet every week one of their sales reps comes to our door trying to SELL US something! I bring them in, show them the MESS and they always PROMISE to have a manager come out and take care of it all. WON'T happen!!! I'm going to finally sue them for it all including ELDER ABUSE!!!!!

Best Products and Excellent Staff

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Pacific Homeworks did a fantastic job on my patio cover. These guys were great ,Jim the manager met with us and explained everything to us before the job started and great communication throughout the process . They had the install team out within a couple of days of signing our contract, Paul and Sammy were the guys who worked on our project. They worked fast,( done in a few days ) tidy, and the attention to detail was excellent. These patios are made to last, we got an aluminum one and they offer lifetime warranties and the material is what is called Low Maintenance, doesn't fade, peel rust etc due to weather. They provided Great workmanship and professionalism. Friendly staff and punctual crew, and the project manager Eric was always available and was very organized and knows how to run a tight ship. Call these guys immediately .Don't bother looking elsewhere.Super pleasant dealings with the office staff as well.

I had been contacted by Pacific Homeworks at my house by one of their employees working in my neighborhood he had pointed out a few problem area on my stucco that were causing damage to my home. He also explained why these problems were being caused. After my first consultation I felt very comfortable hiring them to the work and I also hired them to do a sliding door that they also were able to take care of from me. I may have some roofing in the future I will definitely contact for an estimate on. Overall a very pleasant experience with this company very informative and friendly. Would recommend to any friends and family that are looking to remodel

Bad ripoff company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Can vouch for this person's review. It's fairly accurate and I myself experienced the same disrespectful and unprofessional conduct from Alex Duarte. Complete bullying in front of everyone and has no respect at all. Their sales tactics are also very aggressive and just not right. Homeowners expect a 10-15 mins inspection and qoute. Instead they get a 3-4 hours of painful boring powerpoint presentation that "paints" this positive great image of the company, while shooting down other contractors so that you will "stick with them and trust them". Then a price is given without detail of how it breaks down, itemized. This should be disclosed to the homeowner. Overall, really bad company with disrespectful manager and extremely wrong sales practices. Completely rips off homeowners and are proud of it.

When you tell them no , they don't give up. I had to verbally tell the salesman to leave. I will never use them again.

Pacific Homeworks iss untrustworthy in their followup and warranty.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
During late 2016 and early 2017 I've had several major things done to my home by Pacific Homeworks, including roofing, re-stuccoing of my outside and HVAC. This all cost me a small fortune. To make a long story short. They have a terrific sales team (or one might say hard sell). However, their customer service sucks! I've called them several times to make a nminor repair. They said they'd get someone to contact me and no one contacted me. or said they'd get someone over, and then a no-show, as the worker was called over to another job. This went on for several months. I finally had to call an electrician to fix the problem. So much for their warranty. Also I never received a proof of warranty for my HVAC, which I requested several times and still requesting. Fortunately the work was satisfactory, but they are extremely expensive. And I don't think their quality matches their cost, as I believe just as good a job could have been done elsewhere at a much lower cost. I would suggest that one get other quotes before settling on them. And then to top it off, I received repeated calls from their sales department to purchase their other products, such as doors, windows or patio covers, etc. By this time I've learned my lesson. I couldn't get rid of them. I had to finally block their numbers.

Worst

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is the worst company by far I have ever death with. Warning!!! Avoid doing business with them in any capacity. Pacific home works overcharges and all the clients I met were extremely upset for the bad work and the overcharging. 1 star Yelp review with tons of upset people. in the short period of time I worked here Alex Duarte the dictator style manager only puts you down and talks disrespectfully to everyone he can I. To pick up my check the Hispanic girl who is also rude and disrespectful said new hires don't get paid. I was astonished because under my original agreement I was to be paid for working there (lol) Anyhow all the customers are overcharged and gouged which is illegal and funny enough when we are in the clients house for 3 hours boring them with awkward pushy scam like sales tactics (which I don't approve of) we not only have to be pushy and be gouging we are incentivized to conintue to bother the client after hours of being in their house and when they ask to leave for some reason we have to stay way longer and make the clients more uncomfortable with that awkwardness. It's rediculous and wrong on many levels.

Forget the Window "Lifetime Warranty"

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bought replacement windows and installation with a lifetime warranty, but had to call the next day to have several of the window locks replaced. They were so loose that the lock lever would just fall down before the window was fully closed, creating the appearance that the window was locked when it was not. This is a safety hazard since anyone may mistakenly think the window is locked. Later, several more locks became loose so I called for service and did not receive a return call for several weeks. I called again and was told they do not sell that brand of windows any longer (but could sell me a better quality window) and sent someone out to "see what could be done to fix the problem". Someone came out and took pictures, and I was never contacted again. After a couple of months, I searched online and ordered locks that fit perfectly and are of better quality. So much for Pacific Homeworks "lifetime warranty" and "no longer able to get the locks".

Worst company ever, stay away!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Horrible aggressive salesmen who will insult you and degrade you until you say yes. They won't even give you an estimate, they want you to sign before you see a price. Horrible horrible experience, I haven't felt so threatened in my own house in my life. I was berated and treated like I knew nothing about my own life or house. The salesman was named Mike in San Diego. STAY AWAY. I even called the company and they acted shocked at the situation, but then I went on Yelp and saw for myself. They have done this to thousands of people, go check it out yourself.

Extremely aggressive sales tactics

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
SINGLE WOMEN, BEWARE. THEY WILL BULLY AND HARASS AND TREAT YOU LIKE A CHILD. You will need to call the police to get them to leave your home if you invite them in. I contacted PH for a quote on CoolWall. The salesman showed up 2 hours late. I told him I had to be at work in an hour, and did not have much time for him. He wasted my time, going over the product details over and over as though I was a child. After an hour I said I really needed him to give me a quote and leave. He insisted on continuing with his presentation. After another HOUR I told him I had to leave and he needed to pack up. He gave me a pitying look and asked me "What could be more important than your home?" Just because I am a woman does NOT Mean that my house is the only thing in my life. I was late for work and furious. He then gave me an OUTRAGEOUSLY high quote and was bullying and badgering when I wouldn't immediately sign the paperwork and give him a downpayment. No one in their right mind would sign a $26,000 quote without getting a second opinion or at least thinking about it for a day. When I refused, he became extremely aggressive and refused to leave my house. He kept calling his supervisor to give me more "options" He did not leave until I threatened to call the police to remove him from my home. I then received 6 different calls from someone in the office (Patrick) Each time I told him I was not interested and he was to remove my name from their database. I then got a 7th call from a new person. I hung up on them. Today, a rep from PH showed up ON MY DOORSTEP without an appointment, and attempted to get me to talk with him about my "options." DO NOT INVITE THESE PEOPLE IN. YOU WILL NEVER GET RID OF THEM.
